123 Hot Melt - Adhesive HTV

123 Hot Melt Adhesive HTV (Heat Transfer Vinyl) lets you create trendy styles without breaking the bank! This adhesive HTV is compatible with cost effective screen printing foils, like our popular T.Foil.  123 Hot Melt adhesive is a money saver and a money maker!  In addition to screen print foils, 123 Hot Melt adhesive is compatible with any vinyl cutter, like Cricut, Silhouette or the vinyl cutter of your choice and it's also compatible with fabrics and other materials that lend themselves to adhesion. The milky colored adhesive shares benefits of our very popular 123 Flex such as a pressure sensitive carrier and low application temperature. Therefore, the standard cutting process for cuttable materials is used when working with 123 Hot Melt Adhesive. Weeding on a dark surface will provide the best visibility and using our Tweedy Lite Weeding Tool with a light will help.

123 Hot Melt Adhesive HTV Instructions for Heat Press Application

• Create design and place your setting to mirror in your design space.
  • Tip: By mirroring your design you are flipping the placement so when you place the design down it is right side up.
• Place color shiny side down on your mat. Dull side (no color) is facing up during cutting.
• Cut design and weed vinyl.
• Place item on the heat press and put your vinyl design in the area you want to press.
• Place a cover sheet (Teflon paper or Parchment paper) over your design and press with medium pressure at 300°F – 315°F for 3-5 seconds with 60 psi pressure
• Open press, allow design to cool and warm peel the sheet in 1 pull for best results
• Remove product from press.
• Tip for Matte vinyl – Great option for layering / stacking colors.  Easy to weed for all projects.

123 Hot Melt Adhesive HTV Instruction for Hand Iron Application

• Create design and place your setting to mirror in your design space.
  • Tip: By mirroring your design you are flipping the placement so when you place the design down it is right side up.
• Place color shiny side down on your mat. Dull side (no color) is facing up during cutting.
• Cut design and weed vinyl.
• Set iron dial between Cotton and Linen pending the item you are pressing.
• Place on flat hard surface (Iron board is not recommended).
• To achieve best application press, don’t use the iron steam function.
• Place a cover sheet (Teflon paper or Parchment paper) over your design and press iron with firm pressure straight down for 30 to 45 seconds (pending the design).
  • Tip: Don’t move iron slide to slide.
• Allow design to cool for a few seconds and warm peel application sheet in 1 pull for best results.
  • Tip: If design lifts up during cold peel process, re-press design area with a cover sheet for 10 seconds.

Material Recommendations for 123 Hot Melt Adhesive HTV Vinyl

• All products should be polyester or cotton. Nylon materials will not work.
• 100% Polyester
• 100% Cotton
• 50% cotton / 50% polyester

Care Instructions

• For best care we suggest waiting 24 to 48 hours before washing your garment.
• Suggest to turn item inside out and washing in cold water.
• Suggest to dry on low setting or hang dry item for best care.
• Suggest to stay away from using chlorine bleach.
